The Need To Observe Aluminum Safety By Using A Non Aluminum Deodorant
There are about 2000 references in the National Library of Medicine on the negative effects of aluminum. Research shows that there are more than thirty identified illnesses that can be related to aluminum in various aspects. At this time, there is a dilemma relating to issues of safety surrounding aluminum in these modern times. But a lot of people are unaware of the seriousness of these problems. A considerable amount of study also suggests the presence of negative effects that aluminum salts on antiperspirants have on non-human primates, mice and dogs. How is aluminum affecting humans then? Should we be worried enough to begin using a non aluminum deodorant?
"Aluminum is a neurotoxin which affects diverse metabolic reactions," according to Pub Med.gov, US National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health. In addition, the exact same source states it has been shown to cause DNA damage, have adverse epigenetic effects, and also affect the blood-brain barrier. Aluminum is in actual fact more than just aluminum for this family name also covers alum salts. Alum salts are believed to be part of the aluminum family when they respond to the element AL (aluminum).
First acknowledged as a neurotoxin in 1886, Mosby's Medical Dictionary suggests that a neurotoxin is a toxin that acts directly on the tissues of the central nervous system, going through the axis cylinders of the motor nerves to the brain. It's "A substance that damages, destroys, or impairs the machinations of nerve tissue." (Source: The Gale Encyclopedia of Medicine.)
According to the International Chemical Safety Card from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the intake of thirty grams (1 ounce) of aluminum has killed adults. On top of that, this also results to irritation to the respiratory tract, the skin, as well as the eyes. It is corrosive on ingestion and can also be a questionable substance when not used correctly.
The World Health Organization, way back in 1993, also suspected a connection between the toxicity of aluminum as well as the beginning of Alzheimer's. For this reason, and the other information stated above, we should now start using non aluminum deodorant products.
As per the US Food and Drug Administration, the everyday use of antiperspirant products that contain aluminum can put people with renal dysfunction at higher risk as a consequence of the presence of aluminum in these products. Because of this, renal patients are encouraged to always check with their doctor before using any antiperspirant, specially those that contain high amounts of aluminum. This fact indicates why the use of non aluminum deodorant is still advantageous.
According to Dr. Ray Sanhelian, in the Journal of Applied Toxicology, March, 2006, "Studies also have shown that aluminum salts can penetrate human underarm skin even if it is unbroken." In addition, when applied to the underarm, near the breast, and left on the skin, deodorants with aluminum salts can more quickly enter the bloodstream particularly when used after shaving.
If you look at the ingredient labels of nearly all underarm antiperspirants and deodorants, you might notice that they contain aluminum salts. There is now concern that this could elevate a woman's risk for cancer of the breast. Metals like cadmium and aluminum salts have shown to exert estrogen-like effects. In the laboratory, this promotes the growth of breast cancer cells; so, because we have witnessed a number of other substances that can copy estrogen, just like detergents, pesticides and cosmetics, it is very possible that aluminum salts could further disrupt regular hormonal signaling in the female breast.
Better safe than sorry, make use of a genuine non aluminum deodorant when attempting to safely prevent body odor - this is definitely a way of making it through in today's world.

The Future of Retail: Apple’s Grand Central Station Store (Slash Gear)
Earlier this month, Apple opened a new store inside New York City’s Grand
Central Station. This is not Apple’s only store in Manhattan and does not make
a dramatic architectural statement like its Cube on Fifth Avenue. Much of its
retail model has been seen before in other Apple stores. Yet when I visited it
